Hans Overvliet bracht gedurende 40 dagen, startend op 24 april, 417 vernietigde Palestijnse dorpen / steden in beeld. De archiefkaarten vermelden de naam, de geografische ligging, het aantal inwoners in 1948, en een foto van de resten van die plaats.
De informatie kreeg de vorm van een overlijdensbericht en werd opgeborgen in een stalen archiefkastje.
Overvliet vervaardigde tevens een video van zijn computerscherm, waarop alle handelingen te zien zijn die leidden tot elk individueel overlijdensbericht.
De presentatie werd zaterdag 16 juni ingeleid en geopend door Ingrid Rollema in ruimteCAESUUR, Lange Noordstraat 67, Middelburg..
Het werk is onderdeel van het work in progress distant suffering dat Overvliet startte in december 2013. De tentoonstelling sloot op 1 juli 2018.

Over the course of 40 days, starting from 24 April, Hans Overvliet depicted 417 destroyed Palestinian villages / cities.The archive cards mention the name, the geographical location, the number of inhabitants in 1948, and a photograph of the remains of that place. The information took the form of an obituary and was stored in a steel filing cabinet.
Overvliet also made a video of his computer screen, which shows all the actions that led to each individual obituary.
The work was presented from Saturday, June 16 2018 on with an official opening at 4 o’clock in the afternoon in ruimteCAESUUR, Lange Noordstraat 67, Middelburg by Ingrid Rollema.
This work is part of the body of work in progress distant suffering that Overvliet started in December 2013. The exhibition closed on the first of July 2018.
